TRENDS WE HOPE NEVER COME BACK

These trends came in hard and fizzled out even harder, and we would like to keep it that way. I’m sure we all remember our year 9 phase of thick blocky brows. OMG THEY WERE SOMETHING. With the exception of a few there wasn’t any words to describe this aesthetic. We have all been there over drawing over our natural hairs, to achieve that “on fleek” Instagram brow. If these come back, I’ll be packing up my makeup career.
Spider eyelashes, nope soft lashes please. Now don’t get us wrong we love that intentional clumpy mascara look however these eyelashes gave no dimension to a look, why were they so pointy?!?!?!?
Fully Matt skin. Our poor skin must have suffered throughout this one. Again the 2015 Instagram beauty culture was very influential but we never want this dewy skin trend to end. Which leads on to the over use of highlight. It’s pretty don’t get us wrong but we want a healthy glow not an unnatural sparkle, save that one for Edward Cullen.
A very questionable one was foundation lips. And don’t get us started on when it all gathered in the corners of your lips after a long day...I’m glad I wasn’t a part of that. A controversial one is over lined lips. If done correctly it can make your lips look juicy and plump, but if done wrong it’s giving Miranda sings which isn’t great seeing as what the media is saying about her. #toxicgossiptrain
Finally, extremely bright under eyes. Baking can work wonders but we have all seen flash back Mary. We have all been there, didn’t sleep much and need to cover the bags ASAP but less is moreeeee.
Now please don’t let our opinions on these past trends affect what you do. If you find it works for you and you know you look good, then just keep slaying queen. Do what makes you happy!
