HI BARBIE: THE PINK CARPET RUNDOWN

Today is the cinema release of Barbie. To celebrate we thought we would give you the rundown of the most plastic fantastic looks from all the Barbie premiers and the not so hot looks that made an appearance.
Up first our favourite chicken shop girlie Amelia Dimoldenberg. She chose to wear this 2010 news reporter Barbie look and oh my did she wear it well. It was so on brand for her especially as she was interviewing on the pink carpet.
Sam Smith is no stranger to bending the norms which also carries the hefty weight of controversy. But for this pink carpet we expected something mind blowing instead we got bland. Sam chose to abandon the pink theme and show up in oversized denim and a jumper. I don’t think it’s giving what Sam envisioned. I guess they were going as basic Barbie?
Another person who slayed on the pink carpet was Simu Liu. He looked so amazing in his floral Fendi two piece and to top it off he had a knit cardigan slung over his shoulders like beach Ken in the movie. Urghhhh I love this man, I cant say a bad thing about him.
Karol G silhouette looked stunning but we can’t help but wonder, why the mismatched pinks? The darker pink top and the patterned skirt just felt totally wrong. Either or would have been fine but wearing them together... really? We wish she served a bit more than she did however she is drop dead gorgeous and would look amazing in anything.
Dua Lipa must have read our last blog post because she is rocking our favourite accessory (if you know you know). She looks absolutely stunning and she is giving glamorous mermaid Barbie. People said her dress should have been a Barbie pink but we disagree, she looks like a rich mermaid who just crawled out the water to bless us. She is an icon and she serves.
Finally, the Ken himself Ryan Gosling. His pink suit was fine. That’s it, just fine. Been there done that GIVE US MORE. He could have given us themed looks from Ken but he chose this? Come on we wanted more!!!! Let us live out our childhood fantasy and give us something.
